Vehicle inspection (MFK)
Every imported vehicle must pass the Swiss vehicle inspection (MFK). We organise and accompany the inspection until the car is eligible for registration.
Preparation and appointment
We prepare your vehicle for the MFK and organise the inspection appointment. If the inspection is handled through Import-Butler, it usually takes 5 to 10 working days – if you register the vehicle yourself, it can take 5 to 6 weeks depending on the canton.
If something is flagged
If the road traffic office finds faults, on request we arrange the repair through our partner or move the vehicle to a garage of your choice. An inspection carried out through us is valid for all of Switzerland.
Tow bar & accessories
Additional fittings such as a tow bar must be inspected separately. We're happy to take care of this for you and, if needed, also fit the Swiss licence-plate holders.
